YAKUTIA, SIBERIA – June 4th, 2023 – Driven by continued record global temperatures, an earthquake pushed up heaving permafrost in this remote patch of Siberia last week to reveal an amazingly preserved carcass of a massive flying reptile unlike any ever seen before, except perhaps in legend. In pristine condition, the mummy-like body of the animal is estimated at about 100,000 years old, which places it just at the end of the last inter-glacial period, and has completely stumped the scientific community.
